today was a veritable shitstorm
at subway:
the new girl (she’s worked there about a month) no called/no showed…3 hours after her shift was supposed to start she called and said she would be gone 4-6 months, because her parents pulled her out of school and work to go to rehab. for heroine.
the assistant manager charlie quit. no notice, just won’t be coming to work tomorrow or any day afterwards. too bad...

we have to care enough to at least make an attempt to make the other feel better when we’ve wronged them. it doesn’t have to be some big romantic gesture, something small works just as well to let the other person know that they’re important.
